Description
Join us on September 9, 2025, at Florida Tile in Morrisville.
Showroom exploration and networking will occur before and after the CEU session, Know Your Porcelain, which Brandon Clendenin, a Regional Sales Manager at Florida Tile with 25 years of industry experience, will present.
Course Description: Porcelain tile is beautiful, strong, durable, and an ideal surface for both commercial and residential applications. Certified porcelain excels as a versatile finish material indoors and out, from kitchens and baths to poolside and hospital hallways.
Porcelain tile meets universal design standards, and this presentation will review the latest information on using the dynamic coefficient of friction (DCOF) versus the static coefficient of friction (SCOF) for tile surfaces that meet ADA criteria. Architects will review tile manufacturing, the use of recycled content, grading, markings, and applications. Numerous examples of different types of porcelain will expand the architect's design toolkit. By mastering the art of selecting and specifying porcelain tile, architects can confidently choose durable and sustainable options for their projects.
Learning Objectives: • Define what makes a tile porcelain and what “Certified Porcelain” means. • Discover the benefits of different types of ceramic and porcelain tiles and their applications. • Discuss how porcelain tiles are manufactured and the compliance standards to meet occupant health and safety. • Analyze the technical specifications listed for porcelain tile in marketing materials.
There will be refreshments, and two $500 door prizes will be given away! See you there!
