Otto Zenke Student Design Competition

The Otto Zenke Student Design Competiton guidelines were distributed to faculty in the Carolinas early in the fall, 2019, semester. The guidelines detail the requirements, including types of projects and presentation format for your submissions. Students, please consider submitting your design work to the competition. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2020, at 5:00 pm EST. Awards will be presented at the ASID Carolinas Spring Conference, March 27 and 28 in Charlotte.

Excellence in Design Practitional Competition

The Excellence in Design Competition Guidelines will be announced in early December. Entries will be accepted from January 1, 2020 until March 15, 2020. The categories for awards and presentation requirements, as well as the online submission protocol, are the same as those from the past several years. Those who have submitted previously should notice little, if any, modifications to the process, just a change in scheduling.

In 2020, Awards will be presented at the ASID Carolinas Fall Meeting to be held in September. The timeline for the Excellence in Design submissions and award ceremony has been changed from that of the previous several years to accommodate a later deadline, to avoid end-of-year professional and personal activities, and to allow more time for the judging process.
