On April 21st and 22nd the Western NC Design Community participated in an Earth Day event at Atelier Maison & Co. in Asheville, NC. The event started at 4pm with a “What’s Next?” presentation about Building Beyond the Pandemic by Jillian Pritchard Cooke, Founder of Wellness Within Your Walls (WWYW). This was followed by a round table discussion and Q&A time with local builders, designers and industry professional. Attendees wrote down their thoughts about where we will be in 10 years and stuffed them in a time capsule which will be displayed at Atelier Maison & Co.

The Asheville Home Builders Association held their annual Local Industry Night. This event is a meet up time for local professional associations. The Home Builders were joined by ASID Carolinas, AIA, Land of Sky Realtors, and the Mortgage Bankers Association for a time of building relationships, enjoying hors d’oeuvres and beverages, and giving out door prizes! Laura K. Sullivan, Allied ASID, and her husband, Sean Sullivan, the owners of Atelier Maison & Co., were presented with the WWYW certification for the build out of the furniture studio.

On April 22^nd, the Western NC Design Community participated in a day of Wellness Within Your Walls Certification Classes taught by Jillian Pritchard Cooke. Attendees learned how products you bring into your home can affect your health if they have a negative impact on the indoor air quality.
