Another Successful Student Event: How to Shop a Showroom

ASID Carolinas Emerging Professionals Director, Catherine Ingegneri, and Bret Palmer of High Point Showroom Association, worked very hard to provide an incredible experience for students and emerging professionals. The Student, High Point event, titled "How to Shop a Showroom," was held on Wednesday, March 4th and it was a total success!

Market at High Point is such an exciting opportunity for a student!  They come away feeling inspired and energized but also crowded and excluded.  More than once they were turned away from showrooms because their pass read “Student” instead of “Buyer.”  There are so many people you are constantly pressed into moving.

However, going to High Point on the ASID “field trip” did take those same students behind closed doors for exclusive factory tours, conversations with CEOs, personalized tours of showrooms, and the opportunity to see what's happening to prepare our industry for the biggest days of the year.  They were able to make contacts and gain knowledge, things just not available during the hustle and bustle of regular market. They came back invigorated and looking forward to any and all ASID events, and what they have to offer.
